Material Tourmaline with Herderite
Origin (Locality) Paprok, Kamdesh District, Nuristan Province, Afghanistan.
Description A fine rich bed of criss-cross interlocking prismatic needles of pink Tourmaline resting on white feldspar matrix. A A single creamy coloured crystal of rare Herderite (Hydroxyl-Herderite) measuring 5mm sits towards one end of the specimen. Pretty specimen.
Dimensions 85mm x 62mm x 33mm appx.
Largest crystal Tourmaline - 25mm, Herderite - 5mm
